The inaugural ICON DAY conference was successfully held in Vietnam on February 25, 2023, at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel. The event featured two keynote speakers: Dr. Shiraz Khan and Prof. Dr. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc, who shared their insights on the treatment of white spots and MIH lesions.
The conference attracted many dentists from all over the country who came together to connect, share experiences, and discuss challenges and successes in treating white spots.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Shiraz Khan
Dr. Shiraz Khan is an expert in cosmetic dentistry and minimally invasive restorations and a pioneer in treating white spot lesions with Icon.
- He graduated from Birmingham University in 2013, excelled in various foundational courses, and quickly became an international speaker from the Young Dentist Society in the UK.
- He is the Chairman of the Young Dentist Society in the UK and a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
- Some of his prestigious dental awards include Best Young Dentist at The Dentistry Awards 2017, European Rising Star in Dentistry 2018, and winner in the Best Restoration category at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2019/2021.
Dr. Shiraz Khan presented on the topic of ICON: A contemporary approach to treating white spot lesions, providing valuable information on the technology behind the infiltration method of Icon resin, diagnosing the depth and thickness of white spots, and additional measures that can be used to optimize results.
Keynote Speaker: Prof. Dr. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc
Prof. Dr. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc is an expert in pediatric dentistry, having graduated with a dental degree from Hanoi Medical University in 2010. He holds esteemed positions such as
- Deputy Director of the Maxillofacial Training Institute at Hanoi Medical University
- Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry
- Deputy Director of the High-Tech Maxillofacial Clinic.
Prof. Dr. Vo Truong Nhu Ngoc reported on the topic of MIH: Diagnosis and treatment art, guiding treatment planning for patients based on the severity of MIH lesions and similar conditions, sharing important clinical tips, and discussing patient counseling for treatment acceptance.

Luxatemp Master Contest 2022
The Luxatemp Master Contest 2022 officially concluded with the award ceremony held on February 25. The organizing committee extends their gratitude to all the participating dentists who submitted their clinical cases and supported the contest, as well as all the attendees at the award ceremony.
